The weather during this period is extremely unfavorable for the first batch of hatched fertilized eggs. The low temperature prolongs the incubation time and affects the hatching rate of the fry, so that the body of the young fish may gradually affect the death. Therefore, during this period, if the temperature is low, the pool should be covered, or the fish nest with water should be moved indoors, placed in an open pool, and then moved to an outdoor pool at normal temperature. Many experienced breeders often use the second batch of eggs to hatch. For actual operation and management, this is very beneficial to the hatchability and the physique of the juvenile fish. The spawning time of juvenile fish depends on the water temperature. At a suitable water temperature of 15-20 degrees, the fertilized eggs can hatch small fish in 5-7 days; when the water temperature exceeds 20 degrees, the small fish can hatch in 3-4 days. When the temperature drops, the first batch of eggs usually takes about 10 days to hatch small fish.

During the entire incubation process, try not to turn the fish nest and disturb the water body, otherwise, it is easy to increase the defective rate. When the fish nest is placed in the hatching tank, a small amount of live daphnia can be placed in the tank, which can remove more algae in the water and gnaw off the mold.
